Through personal stories, we’ll integrate neurological education topics such as: 1. understandable definitions of dementia and treatment strategies, 2. how to interpret research and current trends, 3. common communication barriers and strategies for improvement, and 4. the importance of end-of-life planning.
The Challenge
Alzheimer’s and dementia impact nearly 30 million households today and are
expected to double every twenty years. The challenges for family caregivers stem from not
being prepared for this role nor understanding the complexities
of the disease.
